Wesley Chapel District Park Recreation Center Groundbreaking

[Music] [Applause] hi everyone i'm paso county commission chairman mike moore and it's a great day here in pasco county welcome to the virtual groundbreaking for the wesley chapel district park recreation center three two one it's been a long time coming our citizens are excited about it i'm excited about it spent years here with my children number of sports now other children from years and years to come and generations to come are able to enjoy this indoor facility another great asset here in paso county again funded by the paso county and the citizens of pasco county we're excited about it i know you will be too this is the largest athletic facility that the county has in terms of a park space so this complex basically completes that package and allows you know basically allows those essential services to be delivered to to the wesley chapel area i'd like to send out a real gratitude thank you for commissioner chairman mike moore for all the work he's done in this park indoor facility will allow us to get the kids off of the courts and inside playing who played basketball in our program and allow us to offer wrestling and volleyball and possibly competitive cheerleading where they'd be inside and they can do the practicing this project's going to be primarily funded through impact fees through the central uh central zone the the parks impact the ordinance it has three zones obviously um west central and east and we were fortunate enough with the growth that was occurring in the central area to be able to accumulate enough money to make this project come to life so we're extremely excited about that it'll be great for this community so we're hoping that the building will be completed and open in summer of 21 and we'll kick off our first program and welcome our first guest at that time i can't wait to see this thing built so [Music] you
